Lip Care
Natural Beeswax Lip Balms
Our range of eight natural beeswax lip balms is designed to moisturise, soften and help protect lips from everyday dryness.
Each variety combines nourishing ingredients with the protective qualities of beeswax, offering a choice of natural aromas alongside our essential-oil-free option.
Natural Lip Balm — Our simplest choice
For those with particularly sensitive skin, fragrance sensitivities, or who are undergoing IVF, pregnancy or medical treatment, our Natural Lip Balm may be a good starting point because it contains no added essential oils.
As everyone’s circumstances and sensitivities differ, we recommend checking the full ingredients, carrying out a small patch test before first use and seeking advice from your healthcare professional where appropriate.

Choosing the Right Beeswax Balm for Your Skin
Everyone’s skin is different, and choosing the right balm depends on your individual needs, skin sensitivities and personal circumstances.
Our handmade beeswax balms contain different combinations of botanical oils, butters and essential oils. Some have simpler formulations without added essential oils, while others have been developed for particular skincare needs.
The guide below will help you compare your options, with links to each product’s full ingredients and suitability information.

Pregnancy & IVF
During pregnancy and fertility treatment, some people prefer to be more selective about essential oils because safety information for certain oils is limited. Our balms contain carefully measured, low concentrations of essential oils, and the chart helps identify formulations with fewer ingredient considerations. Products such as Skin Rejuvenation Balm contain lavender and frankincense, while others contain oils such as peppermint, eucalyptus or tea tree that may warrant additional care. If you are undergoing IVF or are pregnant, check your chosen formulation with your healthcare specialist.
Post-operative Recovery
Following surgery, skin can become dry, delicate or more sensitive than usual. Beeswax, shea butter and plant oils can help moisturise and protect intact skin, while essential oils may require additional consideration, particularly around sensitive areas. Some of our gentler formulations may be suitable for everyday skincare during recovery, but balms should never be applied directly to surgical wounds, unhealed incisions or irritated skin. Always follow your surgical team’s advice.
During & After Cancer Treatment
Cancer treatments can leave skin exceptionally dry, itchy, sensitive and sometimes visibly changed. Our beeswax balms can provide moisturising care, and we’ve received encouraging feedback from customers using our Skin Rejuvenation Balm, who have found it beneficial for dryness and the appearance and feel of their skin following treatment.
However, treatment-affected skin may react differently to ingredients that were previously well tolerated, including essential oils. For this reason, we recommend checking with your cancer-care team before using a fragranced balm and carrying out a small patch test on healthy, intact skin before wider application. Avoid areas affected by radiotherapy, broken skin or active irritation unless your treatment team specifically approves a product.
Caring for Different Skin Types & Conditions
Our skin changes throughout our lives, and conditions such as dryness, sensitivity and eczema can make finding comfortable everyday skincare more challenging.
The Bee Fairy’s natural beeswax balms combine plant oils, butters and beeswax to help moisturise, soften and protect the skin. While they are not medical treatments, many customers find them a valuable addition to their daily skincare routine.
Dry Skin
Beeswax helps form a protective layer that reduces moisture loss, while shea butter and plant oils help soften and condition dry-feeling skin.
Suggested balms: Skin Rejuvenation Balm and Deeply Moisturising Revival Balm.
Sensitive Skin
Sensitive skin may react to fragrance, essential oils or other ingredients. A simpler formulation can be a good starting point, particularly when trying a new product.
Suggested balm: Everyday Hand Balm, which contains no added essential oils.
Eczema-Prone Skin
Keeping skin moisturised is an important part of everyday eczema care. Beeswax balms may help soften dry-feeling skin and reduce moisture loss, although essential oils can irritate eczema-prone skin, particularly during flare-ups.
Suggested starting point: Everyday Hand Balm. Some customers also favour Skin Rejuvenation or Healing Anti-Itch Balm, depending on their individual tolerance.
Mature or Ageing Skin
As skin matures, it can become drier and less supple. Regular moisturising can help improve its softness, smoothness and appearance, including making fine lines caused by dehydration less noticeable.
Suggested balms: Deeply Moisturising Revival Balm and Skin Rejuvenation Balm.
Oily or Combination Skin
Even oily skin needs moisturising. A small amount of an oil-based balm may help soften dry areas, although richer formulations will not suit everyone and may feel too heavy for some skin types.
Suggested product: Cleansing Balm for an oil-based cleansing routine, followed by moisturising only where needed.

A Note About Itchy or Uncomfortable Skin
Two products that customers frequently tell us they prefer are Skin Rejuvenation Balm and Healing Anti-Itch Balm. Customers experiencing dry, itchy-feeling or troublesome skin have shared positive experiences of using these products as part of their everyday skincare routines.
These experiences are individual, and our balms are intended to moisturise and care for the skin rather than treat the medical cause of itching or inflammation.
Please remember: Always check the ingredients and patch test on a small area of healthy, intact skin before wider use. Avoid broken, infected or actively irritated skin. If you have a diagnosed skin condition, follow the advice of your healthcare professional.
Caring for Skin Prone to Dryness, Itching & Sensitivity
Living with a skin condition can make everyday skincare more challenging. Skin may feel dry, tight, itchy, uncomfortable or particularly sensitive to changes in weather, washing and other everyday activities.
At The Bee Fairy, our approach is to help care for the skin itself. Our beeswax-based balms combine nourishing plant oils and butters to moisturise, soften and support the skin’s natural protective barrier.
We have received particularly encouraging feedback from customers with dry, itchy or troublesome skin who have found Skin Rejuvenation Balm and Healing Anti-Itch Balm to be their preferred options for everyday comfort and care.
Different formulations offer different benefits:
- Skin Rejuvenation Balm: A popular choice for everyday moisturising, particularly where skin feels dry, less supple or uncomfortable. Contains lavender and frankincense essential oils.
- Healing Anti-Itch Balm: Frequently chosen by customers experiencing itchy, dry or troublesome skin. Designed to provide moisturising and conditioning care, with lavender, lemongrass, eucalyptus and tea tree essential oils.
- Deeply Moisturising Revival Balm: Particularly suited to skin needing richer, more intensive moisturising care, helping it feel softer, smoother and more supple.
- Everyday Hand Balm: Our simplest formulation, made without added essential oils. A useful starting point for those who prefer fragrance-free skincare or wish to minimise potential irritants.
- Cleansing Balm: Offers a gentle, oil-based way to remove everyday impurities without the stripping effect some people experience with harsher cleansers, helping skin feel comfortable after cleansing.
Choosing What Works for Your Skin
Skin conditions vary considerably, and what suits one person may not suit another. Even natural essential oils can cause sensitivity, particularly when the skin barrier is compromised.
We recommend starting with a small patch test on healthy, intact skin and introducing one new product at a time. Avoid applying balms to broken, weeping, infected or actively inflamed areas. If you have eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis or another diagnosed skin condition, follow your healthcare professional’s advice, especially during flare-ups.
Our balms are cosmetic skincare products, not treatments or cures for medical skin conditions. Their purpose is to help moisturise, condition and care for the skin, supporting everyday comfort and a healthy-looking appearance.
